From startup pitches in San Francisco to revolutionizing Romania’s Horeca scene
Bogdan Zaharescu, aka Bodo, has been building and scaling businesses since he was 17 because standing still was never an option. He started with a financial consultancy, then took a bold leap into the tech world, launching a startup to tackle childhood obesity. That journey took him from Romania to Essex and eventually to Silicon Valley, where he dove headfirst into the startup scene.
After an intense chapter in tech, Bodo found his next adventure in Horeca. In 2014, he co-founded Vivo Fusion Food Bar, starting with just five employees. Today, it’s a thriving brand with over 200 team members and 8 locations across Romania. But business isn’t his only adrenaline rush. A lifelong motorsport enthusiast, Bodo founded Romania’s most successful speed motorcycle racing team and has been key in organizing national and global motorsport events.
